NEW HAVEN POLICE ARREST CLUB OWNER IN FEBRUARY ASSAULT

(3/12/2009) NEW HAVEN—Earlier this week, New Haven Police arrested 49-year-old Rommerro Farrah, proprietor of the Alchemy nightclub in Downtown New Haven for the assault of Stephen Lunn, a patron of a nearby nightclub. The incident, that took place on February 1, involved Lunn being ejected from Club Elevate then being assaulted by approximately six apparent club employees. When Lunn broke free from the group, he ran across the street where the same group continued to assault him.

A police investigation found Farrah, who resides in West Hartford, to be responsible for being active in both assaults including punching and kicking Lunn. The State Superior Court issued a warrant on March 12th for Lunn’s arrest charging him with Assault in the first degree and Reckless Endangerment in the first degree. Officer Peter Krause is credited with successfully carrying out the investigation that led to Farrah’s arrest.
